Dubrovnik is a city with many centuries of history, and even though the earthquake that occured in the 17th century destroyed a large amount of the city, it has learned to pick up the pieces and prosper once again. They built new homes, rebuilt old monuments, and restored others. All of this was to regain itself after hard hits that history has handed it.

The Clock Tower is one of the most emblamatic monuments of the city of Dubrovnik. It is located in Luza Plaza and it´s origins date back to the 15th century. It has since been restored a few times, the last time being in the year 1929. In it are two symbols of this locality of the green men, also known as zelenzi.

In the Sponza Palace as ell as the Luza Square you´ll find a historic archive. This Palace was one of the few buildings still standing after the horrific 1667 Ragusa earthquake.

The Dubrovnik Cathedral is another one of the most significant monuments, built in 1671 during the reconstruction of the city.

Each monument in Dubrovnik is considered a piece of history, and in each one of them we can take a trip back in time and see the different stages of this millenial city.
